Hong Kong: Cycled a century [160 km] today on Lantau island. Very boring: cycled back and forth on access roads between HK Disneyland and HK International Airport until I clocked up enough miles to go home. Tired. Have a charity movie premiere tonight. Hope I can stay awake.

Niseko, Japan. It’s the first day of the Year of the Tiger. This blog is born. Skiing with my son and friends in Hokkaido during the Chinese New Year. We arrived on Saturday from Hong Kong, and it has barely stopped snowing since. I’ve never seen such incessant, light and fluffy snow. Now that Huey is asleep after his first day ever of skiing, which — trust me — was much harder on me than him, I have a few minutes to go online and prep this blog. Kung Hei Fat Choy!
